Innovation is the first driving force for development, and protecting intellectual property rights is an excellent way to protect innovation.

In 2023, Suzhou Intellectual Property Court invited Xu Tao, a cartoonist from Suzhou, to co-create and design a series of 50 intellectual property cartoons involving copyright law, trademark law, patent law, anti-unfair competition law, etc., and organised the ‘Cartoon Drawing on Intellectual Property and Related Laws’, the first cartoon exhibition in China with intellectual property rights protection as the theme, which achieved good social response.

This time, the XJTLU Intellectual Property Information Service Centre(IPISC) applied to Suzhou Intellectual Property Court to bring the cartoon exhibition to our campus, to promote and popularise knowledge of intellectual property rights among XJTLUers, to enhance the awareness of intellectual property rights protection, and to create a cultural atmosphere of intellectual property rights in which ‘respect for knowledge, admiration for innovation, honesty and compliance with the law, and fair competition’ are encouraged.
