On the afternoon of May 27th, the third IP Seminar was successfully held at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). This event was co-hosted by the XJTLU Intellectual Property Information Service Center(IPISC) and the XJTLU Library, with the theme " Exploring Intellectual Property Protection in Biomedicine." The event aimed to help biopharmaceutical enterprises and researchers establish a competitive advantage, promote technological progress and market expansion, and foster healthy industry development and technological innovation.
生物医药行业作为一个高度创新和技术密集型的领域，知识产权保护显得尤为重要。本次活动特别邀请了江苏恩华药业股份有限公司知识产权管理中心执行总监刘雷老师，从药企知产经理人的角度，分享了生物医药领域科技成果转化与专利布局保护的宝贵经验。刘老师首先科普了知识产权的基本概念，并介绍了科技成果转化相关政策及形势。随后，他以生物医药领域为例，分享了技术和商业驱动下的企业知产管理实务。最后，刘老师通过两个实际案例，探讨了科学家创新创业与企业研发在专利战略和布局策略上的差异。刘老师还与在场的师生和企业代表进行了热烈的讨论，带来了宝贵的实战经验。
Intellectual property protection is critical in the biomedicine industry as a highly innovative and technology-intensive field. The event featured a special guest, Mr. Lei Liu, Executive Director of the Intellectual Property Management Center at Jiangsu Nhwa Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. From the perspective of a pharmaceutical IP manager, Mr. Liu shared valuable experiences in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and patent layout protection in the Biomedicine field. He began by explaining basic intellectual property concepts and introducing relevant policies and trends in technology transfer. He then used examples from the biomedicine field to share practical insights on enterprise IP management driven by technology and commerce. Finally, he discussed the differences in patent strategies and layout considerations between scientific innovation and enterprise R&D through two case studies. Mr. Liu also engaged in lively discussions with the attending faculty, students, and enterprise representatives, imparting valuable practical experiences.
在生物医药领域，专利数量庞大且覆盖内容广泛，找到所需专利信息常常需要借助专业知识和检索技巧。在本次活动的第二部分，智慧芽生物医药解决方案顾问颜霜静老师带来了“医药专利检索策略与实操培训”，帮助师生了解科研创新全周期中的医药信息检索方法，使他们能够轻松掌握专利检索技能。
The vast number of patents and their extensive coverage in the biomedical field require professional knowledge and advanced search tools to accurately and comprehensively retrieve the needed patent information. Ms. Shuangjing Yan, a Biomedical Solutions Consultant from PatSnap, conducted a session on " Search Strategies and Practical Training for Pharmaceutical Patents," helping attendees understand methods for patent information retrieval throughout the entire research and innovation cycle and quickly get started with patent searching.
