In accordance with the "Guidelines for the Construction and Management of Industrial Intellectual Property Operation Centers (Provisional)", the China National Intellectual Property Administration has organized the application and recognition process for industrial intellectual property operation centers. Following procedures including application submission, recommendation, evaluation, and public announcement, the list of the first batch of designated industrial intellectual property operation centers has now been officially released.
This inaugural list comprises 65 centers spanning key industrial sectors such as nuclear energy, oil and gas new energy, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, and new materials. Among them, the "Nanoscale New Materials Industrial Intellectual Property Operation Center", managed by the Suzhou Industrial Park Administrative Committee, has been selected, highlighting Suzhou's innovative capabilities in the field of nanomaterial industries.
The China National Intellectual Property Administration requires all designated industrial intellectual property operation centers to anchor their activities to their functional positioning, diligently fulfill their responsibilities, strengthen capacity building, and effectively support key tasks related to the transformation and application of intellectual property, thereby fostering collaborative development of intellectual property across industrial chains. Local intellectual property administrative departments are expected to treat these centers as crucial instruments for enhancing the resilience and efficiency of industrial intellectual property chains, providing ongoing guidance and necessary support. The China National Intellectual Property Administration will continue to strengthen coordinated oversight and dynamic management, supporting the high-standard operation of these centers and accelerating the development of an industrial intellectual property operation ecosystem to better serve high-quality industrial growth.
