On December 12th, the inaugural Gusu Intellectual Property Talent Speech Event and the launch of the "Zhidao Gusu" talent service brand were successfully held at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Zhang Xin, Director of the Human Resources Department of Patent Examination Cooperation Jiangsu Center of Patent Office of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, Zou Binhao, Level IV Principal Staff Member at the Talent Office of the Organization Department of Suzhou Municipal Party Committee, Shi Weibing, Deputy Director of Suzhou Market Supervision and Management Bureau (Intellectual Property Office), Tian Ruizeng, Deputy Director of Suzhou Industrial Park Intellectual Property Office, Wu Yinjiao, Director of the Intellectual Property Planning and Development Office of Suzhou Market Supervision and Management Bureau (Intellectual Property Office), and other relevant personnel from Suzhou's county and district intellectual property departments, representatives of intellectual property from various enterprises, universities, research institutions, and service organizations, as well as students from related universities, nearly 100 people participated in the event. 

The event was organized by Suzhou Market Supervision and Management Bureau (Intellectual Property Office), supported by the Patent Examination Cooperation Jiangsu Center of Patent Office of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, and the Science and Technology Innovation Committee of Suzhou Industrial Park (Intellectual Property Office), and hosted by the National SME Intellectual Property Training (Suzhou) Base, China Intellectual Property Training Center (Yangtze River Delta) Practice Base, Suzhou Dushu Lake Science and Education Development Co., and Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.

In his speech, Shi Weibing said that General Secretary Xi Jinping has pointed out that developing new growth drivers of productivity is an inherent requirement and an important focal point for promoting high-quality development. Intellectual property rights, which possess the dual attributes of factor resources and legal rights, are undoubtedly the primary factor in developing new growth drivers of productivity. In recent years, Suzhou has always regarded intellectual property rights as a key factor in developing new growth drivers of productivity and has made every effort to promote the construction of the city as a demonstration city for building a strong national intellectual property rights city and a national intellectual property rights protection demonstration area.

In terms of cultivating intellectual property rights talents, Suzhou has also been actively exploring and innovating. From taking the lead in issuing the implementation rules for Gusu intellectual property rights talents to the recently released "Eight Projects" on intellectual property rights, we will continue to boost the "powerful engine" of intellectual property rights, safeguard the "main position" of innovation, and build a solid "golden platform" for industries, striving for outstanding achievements in developing new growth drivers of productivity.

During the event, the Intellectual Property Talent Service Brand “Zhidao Gusu" was officially launched. By further pooling the advantageous resources of intellectual property service sub-brands in various districts and counties, the Intellectual Property Talent Service Brand “Zhidao Gusu" will take the needs of intellectual property rights talents as the service orientation. Through four key aspects, namely "Understanding and Cultivating Talents", "Wisdom and Gathering Talents", "Integrating Intellectual Property Resources", and "Employment Brand of Intellectual Property", it will further create a place where intellectual property rights talents can make achievements, grow, gather, and pursue their dreams, enabling talents to thrive and the city to move forward with innovation.

At the event site, seven recruitment partners for the Intellectual Property Talent Service Brand “Zhidao Gusu" officially signed agreements. To further give play to the positive roles of "attracting talents through existing talents" and "recommending talents by institutions", the Recruitment Partner Plan for the Intellectual Property Talent Service Brand “Zhi Gusu" has invited enterprises and service institutions with profound accumulations and professional experiences in the intellectual property rights industry, as well as universities and research institutes with unique advantages in tapping intellectual property rights talent resources, to jointly help build a diversified platform for recruiting intellectual property rights talents and contribute to the construction of a highland for gathering intellectual property rights talents in the whole city.

During the keynote speech session, Shao Ke, the founding dean of the Global Intellectual Property Research Institute of Nanjing University Suzhou Campus, Hu Yang, the chief intellectual property officer of Jiangsu Biosurf Biotech Co., Ltd., and Fan Chengji, a partner of AllBright Law Offices (Suzhou), respectively gave wonderful speeches around the topics of "Adhering to the Chinese Spirit: The Years When I Had Dialogues with Global Experience", "The Breakthrough Path for Intellectual Property Talents - Meeting Yourself Ten Years Later", and "The Growth Path of an Intellectual Property 'Double-Certification' Lawyer". Their brilliant, impassioned and witty speeches made the atmosphere at the scene lively, with continuous applause and one climax after another.

In the roundtable discussion, Yang Yanting, director of the Cadre and Personnel Office of the Human Resources Department of the Patent Examination Cooperation Jiangsu Center of the Patent Office of the National Intellectual Property Administration, Xiong Jie, BU Intellectual Property Director of Dreame Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., Li Lizhe, senior intellectual property manager of the Intellectual Property Development and Strategy Center of Jiangsu Third Generation Semiconductor Research Institute, Yang Linjie, founder of Suzhou Wispro Intellectual Property Service Co., Ltd., and Liu Dandan, an intellectual property backbone talent in Jiangsu Province, gathered together to discuss the ideal talent profile for intellectual property, and jointly draw the "knowledge demand map" and "ability demand list" that combine hard power and soft power.
