Position: Intellectual Property and Research Librarian
Job Summary
The Intellectual Property and Research Librarian is primarily responsible for expanding intellectual property (IP) information services and delivering consultancy projects; organizing IP-related activities and training programs; managing the application and lifecycle management of IP projects/awards; establishing collaborations with government agencies, research institutions, and enterprises; and operating new media platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- IP Information Services: Conduct patent searches, early-warning analyses, and industrial patent navigation.
- Training & Workshops: Organize IP training sessions and seminars.
- Project/Award Management: Oversee the application process, documentation preparation, and lifecycle management for IP projects/awards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Develop and maintain partnerships with internal IP departments, external experts, research institutions, and enterprises to facilitate collaborative projects.
- Government Liaison: Manage daily communication and relationships with government authorities.
- Digital Operations: Maintain and operate the center’s website and social media platforms.
- Additional Duties: Fulfill other tasks assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree or higher in Science, Engineering, Pharmacy, or related fields.
- Technical Skills: Strong information retrieval capabilities; hands-on experience with data analysis/statistical software.
- Professional Experience: Experience in one or more areas: technology novelty search, patent retrieval, patent valuation, or patent analysis.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both Chinese and English.
- Collaboration: Team-oriented with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in an academic environment.
- Preferred Credentials: Patent Agent Qualification Certificate or recognized IP professional accreditation.
