XJTLU Students Tour WinTech Nano: Charting New Routes for Semiconductor Talent in the Age of AI
2026-03-30

On 28 March, over 20 XJTLU faculty and students, organized by the XJTLU Intellectual Property Information Service Center, participated in the second Family Day event at WinTech Nano Semiconductor College. Themed "How to Break Through Semiconductor Talent Development in the AI Tsunami," the event attracted 162 university students from more than ten universities across the country.

During the event, XJTLU students had the opportunity to observe WinTech Nano's high-tech laboratories up close, gaining an in-depth understanding of real-world industry processes such as chip failure analysis. Li Xiaomin, Chairman of WinTech Nano, shared insights into industry cycles and his entrepreneurial journey, analyzing the capabilities required for a new type of talent in the AI era. He emphasized that the focus of education is shifting from knowledge transmission to cultivating the "ability to break through established thinking paradigms"—a viewpoint that strongly resonated with XJTLU students.

In face-to-face exchanges with industry leaders, XJTLU students actively asked questions and shared their perspectives on topics such as the reshaping of the semiconductor industry by AI and the development of interdisciplinary skills.

Through lab tours, keynote lectures, and conversations with engineers, XJTLU students not only deepened their understanding of the frontiers of the semiconductor industry but also gained first-hand experience of the "industry-education integration" training model. Going forward, the XJTLU Intellectual Property Information Service Center will continue to expand its collaboration with the industry sector, helping students forge core competitiveness in the AI wave.
