In the era of innovation-driven development, intellectual property and brand protection are increasingly valued by enterprises. To help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) better grasp the pulse of technological innovation and enhance their intellectual property literacy, the Suzhou Enterprise Service Center, in collaboration with Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), XJTLU Education and Innovation (Suzhou) Information Technology Co. Ltd., and the XJTLU Intellectual Property Information Service Center, organized a lecture themed "Innovation for All, Mastering Intellectual Property" on January 23rd at the Xinyang Industrial Park in Suzhou Industrial Park.

The lecture invited IPISC backbone Pan Yingying and XJTLU Public Relations and Brand Manager Ouyang Fangzi as the main speakers.

Pan Yingying shared on the topic of "Intellectual Property and the Development of SMEs." She first pointed out that intellectual property is a powerful tool for enterprises to compete in the market; patent information search and analysis play an important role in corporate innovation decisions. Then, using "Xiaozhi's Entrepreneurial Journey" as a thread, she vividly demonstrated the intellectual property issues that enterprises may face at different stages of development, providing professional advice on research and innovation, patent application, and trademark protection. In the final practical session, Teacher Pan demonstrated how to search and analyze patent information on the website of the National Intellectual Property Administration, focusing on search methods and skills.

Subsequently, Ouyang Fangzi shared on the topic of "Brand Empowerment and Protection: Starting Early and Planning Carefully." She emphasized the unique position of the brand in enterprise competition and, combining work practice, summarized effective methods to deal with infringement. She also pointed out that brand protection is not only the task of the publicity and legal departments but a systematic work, and it is necessary for enterprises to raise awareness among all staff to jointly safeguard legal rights and market competitiveness.

This lecture, by analyzing excellent experiences, helped enterprises strengthen patent protection, find their own positioning, and establish technological advantages. The event not only pointed out the direction for SMEs in intellectual property protection and brand building but also provided intellectual support and cooperation channels for their future development. As one of the organizers of this event, the XJTLU Intellectual Property Information Service Center played an important role in public information services. In the future, the center will continue to leverage its advantages to carry out intellectual property education and training, providing high-quality intellectual property intelligence information services for governments, enterprises, universities, and research institutions.
