According to the "Notice on Determining the First Batch of the Second Phase of Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISC) Preparatory Institutions and Launching the Preparatory Work" (National Intellectual Property Office Document [2024] No. 106), after recommendation by the Jiangsu Provincial Intellectual Property Office, preliminary selection by the National Intellectual Property Office, expert review, and joint determination by the National Intellectual Property Office and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (hereinafter referred to as "XJTLU") has successfully been selected as a pre-construction institution for the first batch of the second phase of the World Intellectual Property Organization's Technology and Innovation Support Centers (with a one-year construction period), and can become an official TISC host institution after assessment upon completion of the construction period.
During the TISC preparatory period, the XJTLU Intellectual Property Information Service Center will expand its thinking, leverage its resources, talent, and service advantages, and in accordance with the TISC construction requirements, with the support of the university and under the guidance of the Jiangsu Provincial Intellectual Property Office, learn from peer experiences, explore and practice paths and working methods with our university's characteristics, and actively strive to become an official TISC host institution.
