As one of the activities for this year's "Intellectual Property Publicity Week," the Suzhou Industrial Park People's Court Open Day event was successfully held on the afternoon of April 24th. The event was hosted by the Suzhou Industrial Park Science and Technology Innovation Committee (Intellectual Property Bureau) and the Suzhou Industrial Park People's Court, organized by the Industrial Park Intellectual Property Service Alliance and XJTLU Intellectual Property Information Service Center (IPISC), with more than 20 teachers and students from XJTLU participating.
Led by the court staff, everyone visited the case filing window of the Free Trade Zone Court, the waiting area for parties and lawyers, the mediation room, the internet court, and other places on site, understanding the innovative measures and achievements of the Industrial Park Court in precisely combating intellectual property infringement, strengthening judicial protection of intellectual property, and promoting the in-depth implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy.
During the court observation session, everyone attended the hearing of a trademark infringement dispute case between a technology company and an engineering company. Under the direction of Wang Fang, the judge of the Intellectual Property Court of the Industrial Park, both the plaintiff and the defendant made statements in court, presenting facts, evidence, and legal arguments, making the entire trial solemn and orderly.
Through this event, teachers and students enriched their knowledge of intellectual property laws and regulations, truly experienced the high efficiency and convenience of the "Integrated E-Trial" system, and deeply realized the importance of intellectual property protection. In the future, XJTLU IPISC will continue to provide high-quality services to enhance the intellectual property awareness of teachers and students, and help create a social atmosphere that respects intellectual property and promotes innovative development.
